Marvel Fusion raises EUR 62.8 million in Series B funding to develop fusion technology

Funding

  • Marvel Fusion, a German fusion energy startup, has raised EUR 62.8 million (USD 70 million) in a Series B funding round led by HV Capital. Participating companies include b2venture, Bayern Kapital, Deutsche Telekom, Earlybird, SPRIND, and Tengelmann Ventures. The European Innovation Council also granted EUR 2.5 million (USD 2.8 million) and up to EUR 15 million (USD 16.8 million) in equity investment.

  • The funding will accelerate technology development for a commercial fusion power plant. Marvel Fusion plans to build a demonstration plant in collaboration with Colorado State University, which is expected to be operational by early 2027.
