Tucker Induction partners with Nikon SLM Solutions to offer copper additive manufacturing in US

Partnerships

  • Nikon SLM Solutions has partnered with Tucker Induction Systems, an induction heating solutions provider, to advance copper additive manufacturing in the US.

  • Tucker Induction Systems will use Nikon SLM Solutions' SLM 280 PS additive manufacturing machine to offer copper AM capabilities, including manufacturing induction coils and copper parts.

  • Analyst Quicktake : Earlier this month, Nikon announced that it was reorganizing its subsidiaries. This included combining the laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) technology offered by SLM Solutions subsidiary (now Nikon SLM) with its internally developed directed energy deposition (DED) solutions to offer specialized capabilities to customers in the US.
