NIO partners with Monolith to use AI for EV battery performance monitoring

Partnerships

  • NIO, an NYSE-listed Chinese EV manufacturer, and Monolith, an AI software provider, are collaborating to use AI technology to improve EV battery monitoring and performance.

  • The partnership will use Monolith's Anomaly Detector AI software to monitor the battery performance data of NIO's EVs in the field. By quickly identifying anomalies and analyzing complex real-world data, the collaboration aims to improve battery safety, efficiency, and innovation.

  • The initiative will begin with testing in five European markets, with potential expansion to China, subject to regulatory approval. Monolith is already working with leading automakers, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Honda, to test EV batteries using machine-learning algorithms.
