UOBO, a Barcelona-based food tech startup focused on egg alternatives, has raised EUR 500,000 (~USD 548,000) in seed funding led by Enzo Ventures.
The funding will be used to develop new products and expand operations.
UOBO has also partnered with Cubiq Foods to create an egg-free product for B2B clients, aiming to help manufacturers replace eggs in their recipes. UOBO also expects the partnership to support its mission of reducing the environmental impact of egg production.
Analyst QuickTake: UOBO first launched its liquid plant-based eggs for food service, made with canola and potato protein, in January 2024 . The product was designed to replace eggs in various dishes, such as omelets, pastries, and custards, while claiming to offer an authentic taste.
