Plaid, a white-label and full-stack FinTech infrastructure provider, partnered with the fifth-largest bank in the US, US Bank, to permit the latter’s customers to connect their bank accounts to one or more of the 4,500 third-party apps in Plaid’s network.
The integration includes bi-directional functionality between US Bank’s “My Controls” and the “Plaid Portal,” allowing shared customers to adjust their permissions conveniently through either company’s platform to sync with third-party apps.
The partnership is likely to support Plaid in achieving its goal of committing 75% of its traffic to APIs by the end of 2021.
Plaid offers white-label and full-stack financial technology (FinTech) infrastructure for financial institutions, wealth managers, and other enterprises to embed banking, payment, financial advice, and lending solutions to their FinTechs. It also enables users to connect their financial accounts to a multitude of third-party apps, including Venmo, SoFi, Stripe, and M1 finance, among others. As of April 2021, its infrastructure connected enterprises to more than 11,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe.
