LeanPath, a provider of AI-driven food waste tracking solutions, has partnered with its client, Sodexo Middle East (a food services and facilities management company), as part of the latter’s “Better Tomorrow 2025” initiative to reduce waste in the UAE. The two entities aim to launch a state-of-the-art food waste prevention program called WasteWatch, powered by LeanPath (WWxLP).
WWxLP is expected to collect data on food waste, identify wastage areas, and share operational and behavioral changes deemed necessary to eliminate food waste. LeanPath’s AI platform uses smart data to support organizations’ food waste reduction objectives, allowing them to reach established waste reduction goals. The platform also claims to be easily implemented within operational processes and would provide detailed real-time insights into food wastage’s financial and environmental impact.
Sodexo Middle East expects to launch the innovative platform across 41 sites in the health care, corporate, energy & resources, and defense sectors in the UAE by Q3 2021.
Founded in 2004, LeanPath is a provider of AI-driven food waste tracking solutions that primarily target the “non-commercial” and hospitality foodservice sectors, such as corporate campuses, colleges, and hotels.
