Qkine launches food-grade growth factors for cellular agriculture

Product updates

  • Qkine, a growth factor manufacturer, has launched a new range of food-grade proteins for cellular agriculture applications. The products are manufactured in the UK under a food manufacturing HACCP regime and are available with complete documentation and traceability.

  • The new food-grade growth factors are produced using a scalable animal origin-free fermentation process and are sourced from agriculturally relevant species. The products come with extensive quality analysis, documentation, raw materials traceability, allergen analysis, CoO, CoA, beta-lactam-free, and animal-origin-free certification.

  • According to Qkine, these growth factors will help companies respond to regulatory requirements from bodies like the FDA and FSA while potentially offering greater efficacy through species-matched growth factors. The company is also collaborating with partners to achieve cost parity at scale.
