Rokid partners with BOLON to unveil AI-powered smart glasses

Product updates

  • Rokid, a Chinese developer of AR technology, partnered with Chinese eyewear manufacturer BOLON to develop lightweight designer smart glasses called Rokid glasses.

  • The smart glasses combine AR visualization technology with traditional eyewear frame designs, aiming to integrate immersive technology into daily activities. Zhi Xiaobao AI assistant powers the device, supports voice commands, includes voiceprint recognition for Alipay payments, and allows users to view message notifications directly through the glasses.

  • Through this partnership, Rokid aims to leverage BOLON's brand reputation to make AR technology more accessible to consumers through fashionable eyewear designs.

  • Analyst QuickTake : Rokid aims to capitalize on the growing interest in designer smart glasses, competing with similar products like Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses, which have shown strong sales performance after its recent product launch in Europe .
