EVgo and Meijer partner to install 480 EV fast chargers across Midwest stores

Partnerships

  • EVgo, the largest DC fast-charging station network operator, has announced that it is expanding its partnership with supermarket chain Meijer to install additional fast chargers at store locations across six Midwestern states.

  • The expansion includes installing up to 480 new EV fast charging stalls by late 2027, with plans to open 30 new stations by end of 2026 and 30 more by late 2027. The chargers, delivering rates between 100 and 350 kW, will be installed across Meijer stores in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Kentucky.

  • This builds upon their initial partnership in March 2021 , which resulted in 24 public EV fast chargers at six Meijer stores in Michigan and Ohio. These chargers support the retailer's sustainability goals and grow EV adoption in the region.
