ADDMAN Group, an on-demand additive manufacturing (AM) services company, has partnered with Continuous Composites, a composite 3D printing technology company, to leverage its CF3D continuous fiber technology for aerospace and defense applications.
ADDMAN installed a CF3D machine at its Fort Myers facility, reportedly becoming the only service bureau offering carbon-carbon composite and refractory alloy printing. The CF3D system uses continuous dry fiber with rapid-curing thermosetting resin for large-scale printing (2.7 million x 1.1 million x 1.1 million) of composite parts, complementing ADDMAN's existing Niobium alloy capabilities for hypersonic applications.
