Pietra, an ecommerce platform for creators, has raised USD 15 million in a Series A funding round led by Founders Fund at a valuation of USD 75 million. The round includes participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Abstract Ventures, and TQ Ventures.
The funding comes on the heels of its beta launch which drew more than 20,000 creator sign-ups. The company claimed its revenue grew by 210% between January-April 2021. The round brings Pietra’s total funding up to USD 20 million with the new money going toward expanding its team and supplier marketplace.
Pietra offers creators a way to launch their own brands with products, such as makeup, candles, fragrances, and apparel, and also assists with existing online creator businesses. The platform’s supplier network, warehousing, fulfillment, and e-commerce tools enable creators to source and develop products, set up online stores, fulfill new orders, and market their brands. Creators can communicate with suppliers and product designers on the platform and sell their products directly to consumers in the Pietra Marketplace.
