Sedna, an intelligent communications platform, has raised USD 34 million in a Series B funding round led by Insight Partners. The round included the participation of Stride.VC, Chalfen Ventures, and the SAP.io fund. As a result of the funding, Rebecca-Liu Doyle (Principal, Insight Partners) will join Sedna’s board.
The funding follows its USD 10 million Series A round in December 2020 and brings the total raised to USD 44 million. The fresh funds will be funneled toward the growth of its product, data science, and go-to-market functions. The company also plans to continue investing in the global supply chain space, which is currently its main client segment, and diversify its product to new client verticals such as B2B SaaS, business banking, and risk management.
UK-based Sedna is an intelligent communications system that focuses on reducing email volume and bringing messaging, data, and documentation under one shared inbox. The platform operates a subscription-based business model.
