Activision Blizzard loses T-Mobile sponsorships

Industry news

  • Activision Blizzard announced that it has lost the support of T-Mobile for its Overwatch League (OWL) and Call of Duty League (CDL).

  • T-Mobile, a prominent sponsor of the two leagues, has withdrawn its sponsorship in the wake of lawsuits filed against Activision by California regulators over sexual harassment and gender discrimination. J. Allen Brack (President, Blizzard Entertainment) has also stepped down amid the controversy.

  • As a result of the withdrawal, T-Mobile’s logo was removed from both OWL and CDL sponsorship lists while T-Mobile has been excluded from event league broadcasts and social media platforms.
