Quaise, a geothermal energy startup, raised USD 12 million in funding led by Nabors Industries, a leading global land drilling company.
The round brings Quaise’s total funding to USD 18 million. The new funds will be used to accelerate the development of Quaise’s millimeter-wave drilling technology at its first field demonstration facility in the Western US.
Founded in 2018, Quaise’s millimeter-wave drilling technology allows access to deep geothermal energy, overcoming the geographical constraints geothermal faces at present.
