<ul><li>Pablo Air, a South Korean company specializing in drone-based logistics, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with three parties; NGL Transportation , (an American logistics company that serves both Walmart and Amazon); Delivery-EZ , (a developer of unmanned home-delivery box systems); and Aerospace Arizona Association , to expand its reach to the US, starting from Phoenix, Arizona. The company established its US subsidiary in Phoenix, Arizona, upon receiving an invitation from the city this June—marking the first South Korean startup to enter into the US drone delivery space.</ul>
<ul><li>With a fleet of more than 250 trucks, NGL Transportatio n will collaborate with Pablo Air for drone-based first mile deliveries, and Delivery-EZ will collaborate to develop an unmanned delivery station and an affordable mailbox for drones, while Aerospace Arizona Association will provide the company with ground and institutional support, including regulatory information.</ul>
Pablo Air’s proprietary smart mobility integrated logistics and delivery software, “PAMNet,” can control drones, autonomous vehicles, and trucks in real-time.
Analyst QuickTake: The news comes just over two weeks after Pablo Air raised USD 8 million in a pre-Series B funding round to scale operations globally. The company is currently looking for more partners to commercialize its drone-based delivery service. Pablo Air will compete with 1) other prominent US drone-based middle to last-mile delivery such as Zipline and Volansi, and 2) companies such as DroneDek and Valqari that develop drone landing stations.
