Plaid, a diversified fintech infrastructure provider, has received an undisclosed amount of funds from JP Morgan Private Capital Growth Equity Partners and existing investor, Amex Ventures.
The funding is an extension to Plaid’s Series D round, where it raised USD 425 million in April 2021, led by Altimeter Capital, at a USD 13.5 billion valuation.
The funds will be invested in developing its technology and products to meet the growing demand for digital banking.

This funding comes on the heels of Plaid settling a class-action lawsuit for USD 58 million last week, over claims that the company used banking login credentials to share data with third-party firms without prior consent
