Robomart launches convenience store for West Hollywood

Geographic expansion

  • Robomart, a California-based robotics company, launched its convenience store in beta for West Hollywood households.

  • The store allows users to purchase essentials through the Robomart app with its vehicles making the deliveries. The company has currently partnered with Zeeba Vans, a fleet leasing company, for delivery purposes while autonomous vehicles are to be used in due course.

  • The platform serves as a mobile pharmacy, offering 500 packs of 50 products, some of which include over-the-counter meds, toiletries, and household and kitchen products. The company plans to launch a grocery version of the service in the near future.

  • Robomart envisions expanding its services within the next two years by introducing 100 vans with RFID tags to facilitate the checkout system.

  • Robomart develops autonomous mobile grocery minimarts that can be hailed on demand using a mobile application. Robomart promotes the unique idea of store hailing, which competes with autonomous delivery vehicles and sidewalk droids in last mile delivery automation. Its investors include Wasabi Ventures, SOSV, HAX, Hustle Fund, Automation Fund, and Archetype.
