Winnow Solutions, a British food waste prevention startup, is expected to support ISS Facility Services (a Danish facility management services company), to achieve its aim to cut food waste by 50% across all of its food management facilities by 2024 and become one of the first food service companies to attempt such an initiative.
ISS plans to deploy Winnow’s AI-based waste monitoring systems in over 200 of its kitchens across the US.
The two companies first partnered in 2019 to pilot Winnow’s monitoring systems across ISS facilities in Australia and Europe and reportedly saved 38 tons of food from going to waste during 2020.
