Robomart, a developer of autonomous mobile minimarts, has introduced a “Retailer Platform” which enables retailers to deploy autonomous mobile stores in partnership with Robomart. The company is now accepting reservations for the product.
The platform consists of six Robomart types—snacks, grocery, pharmacy, café, ice cream, and fast food. The company plans to deploy snacks, grocery, pharmacy, and café Robomarts in early 2022 and ice cream and fast food Robomarts, currently in development, in late 2022.
Robomart will be responsible for product stocking, tagging, scanning, quality control, and replenishment, while retailers will be given access to a sales and data analytics dashboard.
The company also announced the expansion of its partnership with REEF, an operator of mobility and logistics hubs and neighborhood kitchens to deploy another fleet of Robomarts across Los Angeles. REEF provided inventory management and restocking services for Robomart fleets deployed in West Hollywood, California.

Analyst QuickTake: Robomart promotes the unique idea of store hailing, which competes with autonomous delivery vehicles and sidewalk droids in last-mile delivery automation. The company conducted pilot runs in Santa Clara and Alameda, California, and Boston, Massachusetts throughout 2018–2019, launching the beta version of the minimart in West Hollywood, California, in December last year.
