Vecow partners with Blaize to launch next-gen AI computing system

Partnerships

 • Vecow, a Taiwanese edge AI device manufacturer, has partnered with Blaize, an edge AI processor and platform developer, to launch the Vecow “ECX-2400” workstation-grade AI Computing System.

 • The computing system can support up to 80 Tera Operations Per Second (TOPS) of AI performance, using the performance and efficiency of the Blaize Graph Streaming Processor (GSP) based “Xplorer” AI accelerator.

 • The system is intended for industrial applications that require a low total cost of ownership (TCO), such as smart Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI), public security, robotic control, traffic vision, and Industry 4.0 applications.

 • ECX-2400 also allows users to build and deploy edge AI inference systems by integrating the Blaize Picasso SDK into the VHub AI developer software (Vecow’s AI software development platform).

Analyst quick take: This partnership takes place three months after Vecow partnered with Blaize’s rival AI microprocessor manufacturer, Hailo , to embed the “Hailo-8” AI accelerator into Vecow’s “ABP-3000” AI computing system. The ABP-3000 system can run sophisticated deep learning applications and thereby caters to a range of industries, including automotive, robotic control, and public safety, among others.
