Esports infrastructure organization ESE Entertainment (ESE) signed a letter of intent to acquire European esports media and production infrastructure company Frenzy.
Frenzy produces and broadcasts esports and gaming events and reality shows worldwide. The company’s majority owner and founder Piotr Zak is a member of the supervisory board of media conglomerate Cyfrowy Polsat S.A., one of the largest digital platforms in Europe and the largest in Central and Eastern Europe.
Under the terms of the deal, Frenzy’s key personnel, including Piotr Zak, will lead its operations. ESE will acquire 100% of Frenzy, paying 50% of the purchase price in cash and the remainder in ESE stock over two years post-acquisition, given the achievement of certain revenue milestones. The acquisition will grant ESE access to Polsat’s infrastructure and improve its production and broadcasting capabilities across all verticals.
