Origin Materials joins the Drive+ Sustainability platform

Partnerships

  • Origin Materials, a manufacturer of carbon-negative materials, has announced a partnership with Drive Sustainability to join the latter’s “Drive+” sustainability platform.

  • Drive Sustainability is a collaborative commitment group formed by 11 global automotive manufacturers (including BMW Group, Honda, Daimler AG, and Ford) to enhance sustainability across the automotive industry. The Drive+ platform has been developed by the group to facilitate automotive Tier-1 suppliers and supplier associations, to solve sustainability challenges along with the automakers.

  • The partnership gives Origin access to a network of automotive manufacturers and enhances its engagement with automotive suppliers. Through the partnership, Origin expects to deploy its carbon-negative chemicals and materials across a range of mobility applications such as fabrics, plasticizers, seat foams, and tires and potentially develop new materials to drive decarbonization in the automotive industry.
