According to the company, reaching the two million mark only took nine months since achieving one million in January. </ul>
The two millionth delivery took place in Tallinn, Estonia. Its operations run across the US and Europe, including the UK, Estonia, Denmark, and Germany.
The company also stated that its robots cross 90,200 crossings a day on average, delivering items to residences. The most popular products delivered by Starship robots include coffees, milk, pizzas, and bananas.
Analyst QuickTake: Starship first launched its autonomous delivery droid in late 2015, while doubling the deliveries in just nine months suggests fast-growing demand. Tapping university campuses has been a key strategy for Starship and currently, it runs operations in more than 20 such sites in the US. It is also the only startup to run B2C commercial delivery operations, which it currently operates in two UK towns (Milton Keynes and Northampton). In comparison, its peer startup Kiwibot has only completed 150,000+ deliveries as of September 2021, placing Starship far ahead of its competitors.
