StoreDot unveils innovation hub in the US

Geographic expansion

 • StoreDot, an Israeli next-generation battery startup, has announced the opening of an R&D hub in California. The new innovation hub will work alongside StoreDot’s global R&D headquarters in Israel.

 • The new facility will employ a pool of US members to drive the development and commercialization of extreme fast charging (XFC) and extreme energy density (XED) technologies.

 • The company is also considering establishing a manufacturing partnership in the US.

Analyst QuickTake: StoreDot’s previously communicated commercialization plan suggests mass production of its extreme fast charging (XFC) batteries by 2024. The company is currently shipping samples for real-world testing to leading automotive manufacturers. The new innovation hub in the US could be an attempt to move closer to its potential customers to further commercialization efforts.
