SkyHive raises USD 40 million in Series B funding

Funding

  • SkyHive, an AI-driven workforce transformation and development platform, raised USD 40 million in a Series B funding round led by Eldridge with participation from Allegis Cyber, Accenture Ventures, Workday Ventures, and the Partnership Fund for New York City.

  • The funds will be used to support global expansion, ongoing R&D projects, and sales and marketing efforts.

  • Founded in 2017 by Sean Hinton, SkyHive is a Canadian company that offers a proprietary Quantum Labor Analysis (QLA) platform to optimize corporate reskilling and upskilling by using economic theory, workforce modeling, human analytics, and data science. SkyHive identifies high-value emerging skillsets by using resumes, profiles, and skills assessments uploaded by employees and matching them with learning resources. The company currently provides support to enterprises such as EdX and Accenture to reskill their employees. Additionally, the platform gathers data through HR systems and other data points to create a database of jobs, skills, and training, which can be used to automate extraction from existing employee data. By October 2021, the company was active in 200 countries with 400,000 unique locations worldwide, reportedly maintaining over 700 million profiles and 1.5 billion jobs.
