Circulor and North Coal partner to improve traceability of steel supply chains

Partnerships

 • Circulor, a British blockchain-based SaaS solution to trace sustainability within supply chains, has entered into a strategic partnership with North Coal, a Canadian steelmaker, to establish Metallurgical Coal (Met Coal) traceability and ESG tracking at its Michel Coal Project in British Columbia.

 • North Coal will use Circulor’s solution in the development phase to track Met Coal samples from the Michel Coal Project to end-users.

 • Both companies plan to scale up, making the solution available to all customers once full production begins at the Michel Coal Project in 2025.

Analyst QuickTake: The collaboration is consistent with Circulor’s plan to expand its presence in North America. This was disclosed at the time of its USD 14 million Series A funding round in June. Moreover, just last week, Circulor partnered with the Urbix , an Arizona-based battery-grade graphite processing company, to trace graphite supply chains.
