Orca Computing leads GBP 9 million government project

Partnerships

  • London-based quantum computing startup Orca Computing is set to lead a GBP 9 million (USD 12 million) project backed by the UK Government—under the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) body—to build a quantum-safe data center of the future.

  • The project will focus on identifying ways to integrate quantum computing into complex data centers in order to enhance the internal operations, security, and management of data. For this purpose, the consortium will use tools including quantum random number generation, quantum key distribution (QKD), and post-quantum cryptography.

  • Orca will be in-charge of offering quantum computers, while the other partners including KETS Quantum Security and Riverlane will work on the quantum security and quantum software aspects, respectively.
