Kodiak Robotics raises USD 125 million in Series B funding

Funding

Kodiak Robotics, an autonomous truck manufacturer, has raised USD 125 million in a Series B funding round from investors including SIP Global Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Battery Ventures, and CRV, among others. BMW’s venture capital arm BMW i Ventures, and tire-making company Bridgestone Americas , who invested undisclosed amounts in the company earlier this year, have also converted their funds to this round. This brings the company’s total funds raised to USD 165 million.

 • The company intends to use the funds over the next year to hire at least 85 new employees across all departments (doubling its current headcount), fast-track product commercialization, expand its autonomous service capabilities across the country, and add at least 15 new trucks to its fleet bringing the total to at least 25 vehicles.
