Nature’s Fynd debuts its first products

Product updates

  • Nature’s Fynd, a startup producing alternative protein using microbes, has debuted its first two products, now available for preorder: dairy-free cream cheese and meatless breakfast patties.

  • The dairy-free cream cheese contains Fy protein (fermented fungi protein), coconut oil, and sugar. The meatless breakfast patties contain FY protein, soy, and fava bean. The products are currently available for preorder through the Nature’s Fynd website and are available in limited bundles: FY Breakfast Bundle for USD 14.99 (plus USD 10 shipping) with plans to commercialize the products in 48 states in the US. Both products were sold out as of February 16th.

  • Founded in 2012, Nature’s Fynd creates protein using a microbe discovered in the geothermal springs of Yellowstone National Park’s ancient volcano. One of the founders discovered the microbe when researching extreme life at Yellowstone, with support from NASA. In December 2020, the company raised USD 45 million in venture debt and equipment financing, which allowed Nature’s Fynd to expand plant operations and to prepare for the launch of its range of food products by 2021.
