EOS partners with TETRA Technologies for zinc battery production

Partnerships

  • EOS Energy, a next-generation long-duration battery startup, has announced a long-term strategic agreement with TETRA Technologies, a global leader in commercial applications of calcium chloride, to support the production of EOS’ innovative “Znyth” aqueous zinc battery.

  • The collaboration integrates EOS’ patented electrolyte system and TETRA’s patented high purity production process to improve battery performance, cost, and battery lifespan by further utilizing TETRA’s expertise in recycling zinc bromide.

  • EOS plans to expand its manufacturing capacity to 800 megawatt-hours by 2022.
