HungryPanda, an online food delivery platform focusing on Chinese food, raised USD 130 million in a new Series D funding round. The round was led by a new investor Perwyn, with participation from several return investors. New investor Vintage and debt provider Kreos Capital also participated in this round. This brings the company’s total funds raised to USD 220 million.
The new funds are expected to be utilized to invest in technology, business strategy, and talent, which will help the company grow its market share in the Asian food delivery space, expand market offerings, and explore acquisition opportunities.
The company also reported that it now operates in 60 cities across 10 countries including the UK, the US, Japan, and Singapore (up from 47 cities a year ago). In 2021, the company also launched Panda Fresh, Asian fresh food and grocery platform, and Vouchers Panda, a platform providing a discounted ordering method of online and offline lifestyle services.
