Live Green Co., a Santiago-based plant-based food-tech startup, has secured USD 7 million in pre-Series A funding led by DRADs Capital. Other participating investors in the round were Goshen Capital, Fen Ventures, and Flambeau Capital Partners as well as existing investors Draco Latam, Fondo Alerce Venture Capital, and NOA Capital.
According to the company, the funds will be used to establish a US headquarters, improve the company's patented AI “Charaka's” capabilities, strengthen IP protections, and develop B2B licensing and manufacturing agreements.
Founded in 2018, Live Green Co. leverages Charaka, a machine learning AI used to analyze plant combinations to create a database that can then determine and recommend combinations of healthy ingredients. The startup’s plant-based range includes burger mixes and frozen burgers, baking mixes, plant-based ice cream, and protein bars.
