• Nikola Motor Company (Nikola), a developer of heavy-duty battery electric vehicles (BEV) and fuel-cell electric vehicles (FCEV), has received an initial order for 10 “Nikola Tre” BEV trucks from USA Truck, a provider of capacity solutions. The deal also gives USA Truck the option to purchase additional 90 trucks over the next two years.

• USA Truck has signed the letter of intent with Thompson Truck Centers for the purpose— a member of Nikola’s dealer network. The latter will also provide sales, service, maintenance, and charging infrastructure to USA Truck on a fleet-as-a-service basis.

• Deliveries are expected to commence in H1 2022.

<ul><li> Analyst QuickTake: This agreement enhances Nikola’s growing BEV order book. Recent pre-orders include agreements with Heniff Transportation Systems (December 2021), Hamburg Port Authority (September 2021), Tri-Eagles Sales (October 2021) , and Total Transportation (May 2021), with these alone adding up to 165 BEV trucks. The company also commenced delivering its BEV trucks to customers in December. </ul>
