Stem, a smart energy storage company, has entered into an agreement with NineDot Energy, a developer of clean energy solutions to provide smart energy storage services.
Under the agreement, six front-of-the-meter (FTM) standalone energy storage sites will be deployed in Staten Island, generating 110 megawatt hours. The project is expected to be completed in May 2023.
Stem will supply storage hardware and will utilize its proprietary Athena software to optimize VDER (Value of Distributed Energy Resources) credits. This would provide NineDot with a single platform to monitor and develop energy storage sites.
