Anaergia partners with Carbon Cycle to deploy waste-to-energy facility

Partnerships

  • Anaergia, a Canadian waste-to-energy company, has signed an agreement with Carbon Cycle North Carolina (C2NC), a renewable energy project developer, to expand C2NC’s facility, which converts agricultural waste into renewable energy.

  • This contract marks Anaergia’s second equipment sale to C2NC. Under the agreement, Anaergia will supply equipment to C2NC’s facility and undertake the construction. Anaergia is expected to manage and operate the facility for 10 years, which would increase its backlog by more than USD 50 million. The facility will be deployed in Warsaw, North Carolina.

  • By the completion of the first phase, the facility will consist of three anaerobic digesters converting agricultural byproducts into renewable natural gas.
