German quantum software company HQS Quantum Simulations has raised EUR 12 million (USD 13 million) in a Series A funding round led by Quantonation, with participation from other investors including UVC Partners and btov Industrial Technologies.
The proceeds will be injected into developing the company’s cloud platform Quantum Assisted Design and growing its open-source library Active Space Finder—reportedly the first-of-its-kind active space solution in the world. The funds will also be used to grow its team of 30 scientists and bolster its position in the quantum simulation space in Europe.
