Lunchbox, an online ordering software provider, raised USD 50 million in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Coatue with participation from existing investors Primary and 645 Ventures as well as executives from DoorDash, Sweetgreen, and &pizza. This round brings Lunchbox’s total funding to USD 72 million.
The proceeds will be used to expand into mid market, enterprise customers and cloud kitchens. The company also plans to invest in product research and development and make additions to its current workforce, which has grown significantly during the last few years to ~250 across the US, Canada, and the UK, from 51.
The company has also been expanding its senior management team, and it recently added former General Assembly COO Kieran Luke to serve in the same role.
