Canadian quantum hardware company infinityQ Technology Inc. has raised an undisclosed amount in a seed extension round initially announced in April 2021. New strategic investors Havella Capital, iGlobe Partners, and Westcott Investment Group participated in the round, along with existing investors Cato Stonex and Louis Vachon. This brings total funds raised to USD 5 million.
The funds will be used to support the development of its next-generation chip technology, which is said to be 100x computationally faster than its predecessor and consumes energy at ultra-low levels. The company plans to advance the chip from prototype to commercialization in 2022, beginning its rollout to the video gaming industry.
