Klarna, the largest global BNPL solution provider, is reportedly in the early stages of finalizing a fresh funding round that would value the startup at USD 50-60 billion, according to Bloomberg.
Although the valuation is not finalized yet, the company is reportedly attracting interest from sovereign wealth funds and pension funds, while it is also contemplating raising debt funding from banks to support expansion plans.
<ul><li>Klarna’s most recent funding round came in June 2021 , when it raised a whopping USD 639 million at a USD 45.6 billion valuation. It became the highest valued private fintech in Europe and the second-highest worldwide after online payment processing company Stripe.</ul>
