• Battery electric (BEV) and fuel-cell electric (FCEV) truck developer Nikola Motor Company (Nikola) has commenced its alpha prototype testing of FCEV “Nikola Tre” trucks in partnership with drink and brewing company AB-InBev.

 • Nikola has delivered two prototypes to AB-InBev, which will be operated by logistics company Biagi Bros for a three-month period to haul beers for AB-InBev in Southern California.

Analyst QuickTake: AB-InBev is so far the number one customer of Nikola’s FCEV trucks, having reserved 800 units back in 2018. AB-InBev has also ordered another 40 Tesla’s all-electric “Semi” trucks, which are yet to be delivered. Furthermore, the news comes just two months after Nikola started delivering its battery-electric version of “Nikola Tre” trucks to customers.
