Climeworks, a Swiss direct air capture (DAC) startup, has signed a 10-year carbon removal agreement with Rothesay, a British pension insurance specialist.
Under the agreement, Climeworks will remove Rothesay’s day-to-day carbon emissions, making its operations net zero by 2030.
<ul><li> Analyst QuickTake : Climeworks has been selling DAC carbon removals since 2019 and has a customer base of 13,000+ at present. The Rothesay agreement is the company’s fourth long-term carbon removal contract in just six months alongside agreements with LGT , BCG , and Swiss Re .</ul>
