Sharegain raises USD 64 million in Series B funding

Funding

  • Sharegain, a securities-lending-as-a-service (SLaaS) provider, has raised USD 64 million in a Series B funding round led by WestCap with participation from Citi, EJF Capital, and Optiver PSI, among others. This brings the company’s total funds raised to USD 82 million. Sharegain claims this round is the largest Series B to date in the securities lending industry.

  • The company intends to utilize the funds to expand operations globally and improve its product offering.

  • Sharegain is a London-based startup, offering SLaaS for online brokers, banks, asset managers, and custodians. The company claims its end-to-end digital platform brings together full control, enabling partnering companies to lend stocks, bonds, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) at a lower cost while generating additional revenue. The company’s customers include leading global banks such as Citi.
