Miso Robotics, a kitchen automation company, has expanded its partnership with fast-food hamburger chain White Castle to install its latest “Flippy 2” burger flipping robot at 100 new White Castle locations.
<ul><li>The expansion comes after successfully piloting a Flippy 2 unit at a White Castle restaurant in Chicago. White Castle first deployed the original version of Flippy at one of its restaurants and later installed 10 more at additional locations in late 2020. </ul> <ul><li> Analyst QuickTake: Miso Robotics unveiled Flippy 2 in November last year, which was also developed with feedback from White Castle—its innovative partner and early adopter. At the time, the company also revealed its plans for additional pilot deployments in the coming months and was in talks with more local and foreign restaurant brands—which are yet to be announced. Furthermore, the news comes just two weeks after Miso Robotics opened its Series E funding round to meet the rising demand for its robotic solutions and to expand the team.</ul>
