Chargebee, an infrastructure platform to manage billing, subscription, invoicing, and payments, has acquired Indian collections management platform Numberz, to launch “Chargebee Receivables.”
Chargebee Receivables enables users to automate the entire receivables process from purchase to payments, which lets them receive valuable insights on working capital management as well. In addition to billing clients, the platform also keeps customers engaged and can be used to offer incentives for on-time payments.
The Numberz team will be integrated into Chargebee in several offices and remotely across India. Executive team members will be added to Chargebee’s leadership team as well.
Analyst QuickTake: Chargebee has been acquiring companies in recent times to expand the products and functionality of its platform. Last month the company acquired Brightback (a customer retention platform) to maximize revenue growth capabilities for its users, and, last October, it acquired RevLock , a revenue recognition platform. Moreover, this acquisition comes on the heels of Chargebee raising USD 250 million in funding earlier this month, which it earmarked to partially invest in product innovation and setting up strategic corporate growth initiatives.
