Bloomreach, a marketing cloud specialized for both B2B and B2C retail and ecommerce brands, announced that it has raised USD 175 million in Series F funding led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management with participation from Bain Capital Ventures and Sixth Street Partners. This brings its total funding to USD 420 million. The firm was valued at USD 2.2 billion, a 2.4x increase in its valuation compared to a year ago (USD 900 million in January 2021).
The firm also recorded a 63% YoY growth in revenue in 2021 and reached annual recurring revenue of (ARR) of USD 117 million by end 2021. This was supported by growth in its customer base, which grew to 1,100, adding 100+ brands in 2021.
The new funding will be invested in product development to add more personalization features as well as make it easier to integrate its services via APIs. The firm also plans to grow its headcount (~800) and increase its geographic presence in the US, India, and Europe.

Analyst QuickTake: While operating in a space that was occupied by established cloud services such as Salesforce and Adobe, its specialization in ecommerce, as well as the strong growth potential for ecommerce brands, underlies Bloomreach’s edge, which is reflected in the steep growth in its valuation. Another case in point is Rokt, a B2B ad monetization firm specializing in ecommerce brands, which in a recent funding round was valued at USD 1.95 billion .
