Livestorm, a browser-based online web conferencing platform, raised USD 30 million in Series B funding led by Algae Ventures and Bpifrance Digital Venture with additional funding received from Raise Ventures and IDInvest. This brings the total funding to USD 35 million.
The funds will be used to support the company’s continued expansion into North America (represents one-third of its client base) with a focus on US mid-market and enterprise clients. The company plans to accelerate product development, boost sales and marketing efforts (in Europe and the US), and scale its go-to-market strategy in the US. The company revealed plans to triple its team over the next year.
Livestorm claims its revenue has grown eight times since its most recent funding round in September 2019, while the US remains its fastest-growing market.
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Paris, Livestorm offers web-based video conferencing tools for webinars and meetings. The company initially offered webinar software with value-added services, such as registration pages, automated emails, advanced analytics, and webinar promotions. It expanded its video conferencing platform “Livestorm Meet” (which started as a test product) since its funding round in 2019. Common use cases include online events, such as training courses, product demonstrations, and conferences. The platform has around 3,500 customers, including startups and Fortune 500 companies. Some of its clients include Shopify, Honda, and Sephora.
