Verbit acquires UK-based transcription service Take Note

M&A

  • Verbit, an AI-based transcription software provider, has acquired Take Note, a UK-based transcription service, for an undisclosed amount.

  • Founded in 2006, Take Note provides audio and video transcription, captioning, and note-taking solutions primarily targeting the market research sector. Currently, Take Note has a team of ~600 transcribers based in the UK.

  • As per the deal, Verbit will absorb Take Note’s team of 28 employees and will now serve over 2,500 customers. Take Note’s UK offices are expected to be utilized to support Verbit’s customers across Europe. 

<ul><li>In line with its vertical and global expansion plans, also mentioned during its Series E in November 2021 , the Take Note acquisition marks Verbit’s entrance into the market research vertical and follows its acquisitions of VITAC and AutomaticSync in 2021, improving its capabilities to service the media, education, and government verticals.</ul>
