Finless Foods, a startup using cellular biology to produce cultured seafood, has raised USD 34 million in a Series B funding round led by Hanwha Solutions, bringing the total funding to date to USD 48 million. Other investors including Draper Associates, Japanese seafood company Dainichi Corp, and At One Ventures also joined the round.
The funds will support the company in executing multiple objectives such as launching plant-based tuna in US foodservice, exploring international distribution in the Asian market, expanding its R&D team, gaining approval for its cultured blue-fin tuna, and achieving price parity.
