Quidnet Energy, a long-duration energy storage solutions provider, has entered into a 15-year agreement with CPS Energy, a public utility service provider, to build a long-duration energy storage project in Texas.
The partnership will integrate Quidnet’s Geomechanical Pumped Storage (GPS) technology with CPS’ “Flexible Path” resource plan to reduce net emissions by 80% by 2040.
The project is planned to be deployed in two phases: the initial phase is a one-megawatt, 10-hour storage facility; the next phase involves CPS Energy scaling up to 15 megawatts, as the project matures overtime.
