ThriveDX (formerly HackerU), a cybersecurity solutions and education provider, acquired Kontra, a security training platform, for an undisclosed amount. 

The acquisition allows ThriveDX to strengthen its product portfolio by integrating with Kontra’s solution. ThriveDX SaaS, the software-as-a-service arm of ThriveDX, and Kontra's learning systems are based on real-life cybersecurity scenarios and aim to support users by translating industry-relevant skills into application security expertise, storytelling, active engagement, and simulations. Additionally, Kontra is reportedly the only security training application that supports SCORM technical standards for eLearning and can be integrated with any learning management system (LMS). 

Kontra offers an application security training and software security platform for developers through interactive learning. As of March 2022, Kontra had partnered with IBM, GitLab, ShiftLeft, and Global Learning Systems.
